WHAT THIS MEANT TO THE CLIENT:
CLIENT: Warsash Maritime Centre
Detached maritime campus of Southampton University (formerly School of Navigation).
BRIEF:
- To establish a separate identity from old School of Navigation image
- To emphasise link with Southampton University
- To develop range of economic literature printed cheaply in bulk for faculty mailings to would-be students
- To develop, improve and project a modern corporate identity
- The challenge was to understand the extremely complex technical courses and translate them into easily understood ‘products’
- The long term objective being to make the college an attractive partner for large maritime sponsors.
RESULTS & OUTCOME:
The client was delighted with the fresh way in which the courses were highlighted and separated as products in their own right, rather than being ‘lumped’ together in a long list. This allowed a far more tailored response to a student’s request.
The Centre was very favourably impressed with the economic print cost of the wide range of leaflets.
The improved modern corporate identity created significant interest. It created an opportunity to promote the Centre and gained much attention from large maritime sponsors such as Shell.
